David Kleiman

David Kleiman is a real estate developer and educator based in Palo Alto, California. He is a Principal and Co-Founder of D2 Realty Services.

In addition to managing his real estate investments, Mr. Kleiman is a Lecturer in the Stanford University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, where he has taught multiple courses since 2012. Mr. Kleiman has taught the Real Estate Transactions & Commercial Development course at Stanford Law School since 2015, and he has been a guest lecturer in the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as the Stanford Center for Professional Development.

Mr. Kleiman’s most recent project is a newly completed mixed-use building in downtown Palo Alto, for which he received the 2018 AIA Honor Award.

Mr. Kleiman received his B.S. in Psychology with honors from the University of Illinois, and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. Mr. Kleiman is engaged in professional, civic and charitable activities that include an endowment of the Kleiman Public Interest Fellowship at Northwestern University, which provides financial assistance allowing students to secure public interest law internships. He is also an active supporter of the Kleiman Creative Writing Contest, an annual elementary school writing contest in Northeast Indiana that was established in 2000.

Mr. Kleiman is licensed to practice law in Illinois, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Urban Land Institute, the American Institute of Architects, and Stanford Professionals in Real Estate (SPIRE).
